The Macomber Reservation is a fairly easy walk, containing mostly wide trails with only some short gentle slopes. The property is mostly wooded land, with some views of a small section of Stearns Reservoir.

Come join us for a walk through this wonderful property. Our walk will last about 1 to 1.5 hours.

There is a small parking lot on Badger Rd, about 2/10 of a mile from Salem End Rd. Here is a link to the Parking Lot on Google Maps. The parking lot can hold about a dozen cars.

Please register for this walk. (It’s Free!) Due to the size of the lot, we will be limiting attendance to 8 cars. I will also send a reminder to those who register and will send any changes or cancellations if necessary.

September 26th, 9:00 to 11:30 AM

We are collaborating with the Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) to hold a Weed Warriors invasives pull on Saturday, September 26th at 9:00 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a community helping to take care of the lands in Framingham.

This event will take place at a property near Callahan State Park off Edmunds Rd in Framingham. We will be focusing on removing Winged Euonymus, also known as Burning Bush. This is an invasive plant that has escaped cultivated landscapes into forests and fields, where it forms dense thickets that crowd out native plants. The sale of this plant is illegal in Massachusetts and has been banned in about 10 other states in the northeast.

This is a great way to get involved. So come help us remove this plant!
